- 盆栽を作ることにおいて、アマチュアにできてプロにはできないことって何でしょう？
それは一本の木を長く育て続けること。
若い素材から何年も鉢で育てることで、木はようやく古色を纏います。
木の古色を引き出し、それを楽しむのが盆栽の本質です。
ある著名な盆栽園さんが言いました。
「大抵のことは何とかなるが、木の若さだけはどうにもならない・・・」
アマチュアにこそ、盆栽を楽しむ特権があるようです。
